Peter Higgins has been providing specialist contract advice
to clients
worldwide for over thirty
years. Peter
has extensive experience in
advising clients on contract issues. He has advised on contract strategy,
drafting and compilation, developing and implementing procurement approaches,
and has assisted project teams in establishing contract management
techniques. He also advises teams on contractual queries that arise during a
project. On many appointments, he works jointly with the client’s legal
advisors. |

He has run courses on Contract
procedures and lectured to professional bodies, and has had appointments as
expert witness in arbitration and litigation. Peter has acted as Arbitrator,
Adjudicator, Mediator and Conciliator in engineering, building and landscape
disputes. He has also been appointed to provide expert determination on
disputes, and has been involved in mediation and conciliation proceedings. Peter was Chairman of the
Institution of Civil Engineers’ New Engineering Contract Panel and led the
teams responsible for drafting the revised third and fourth edition of the
NEC contract family. He is now chairman of the NEC4 Contract Board, which
takes professional and technical responsibility for NEC contracts and advice. |
